The Hunger Games....awesome! I can't remember if there's swearing or not, but we read it for our book club with lots of church ladies in it, so I don't think there was any. Good luck! I hate it when it's my turn to pick.

The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman... or any of the books in the series... they're specific to the relationship you'd like to improve- children, spouse, for singles, etc... GREAT books! Or What about something by Kevin Leman? Same concept, improving your relationships... They're Christian-themed, good use of your time, AND... NO CUSSIN'...
SHANA -- Oh, I'm really going to pick that now, just to spite you! Missed you at last month's meeting. Loved the cupcakes, though!
TIFFANY -- yes, it's too funny.
GEO -- yes, Shana beat you to it.
HEIDI -- I'm so sick of Young Adult fiction. Any other suggestions?
JANET -- Isn't that YA Fiction? Anyway, my friend just got me a copy. I'll check it out.
NIGEL -- you're bad, very bad.
SOPHIE -- are those fantasy books? I don't much care for fantasy. And YA Fiction again? Are all the adult books filled with swearing? Thanks for the suggestions, though.
LISA -- ooh, I love stealing ideas from other book clubs. Thanks!
LESLIE -- we did "To Kill a Mockingbird" already. "Huckleberry Finn?" Isn't that real literature? I try to avoid books that make me think.
SC MOMMIE -- but what if the main reason why I read is to avoid having relationships with those around me?

Amen to that (swearing at book club).
Well, there goes my suggestion.
Have you guys read "THe Wednesday Wars?"

How about the classic "To Kill a Mockingbird"?
Or 'Huckleberry Finn', Hemingway said all American literature derived from that classic.
