"Mom, I got a note here from the Harper Valley P.T.A."

Sorry that I haven't been blogging much lately, but somehow I got roped into joining the PTA/PTO and my life now revolves around this:

So are you collecting those? We don't buy much "name brand" stuff, but I'll keep an eye out for you if it'll help!

This is my 11th year in our school district and I have only attended two PTO meetings--both in the past six weeks! They really can suck you in. So far, I've only said "yes" to helping for two hours at the book fair.

I've got one—count 'em! one!— 10-cent boxtop for you, any time you want to collect it. Poor you.

Oh my!
I'm involved with that at our school also.
I didn't need to see any more of those.

What happened to the good old fashioned bake sale?

Hike up the hem on your skirt and lower the cut on your blouse and maybe you'll get kicked off!

DALENE -- oh, I should've.

PUTZ -- be prepared to be disappointed.

SUZIQ -- every little bit helps! I must admit that I don't buy much name brand stuff either.

KRICKET -- book fair? This might be better.

GEO -- ooh, an excuse to drop by!

LADAWN -- what ever happened to just doing school work and not having all this extra stuff?

B -- hmm, I'll have to try that. Alas, I don't look like Barbara Eden (reference to the 1978 movie -- I am so old!!!).

(I knew exactly what you (we) were referring to!!)

B -- not you, you're MUCH too young!
